I have been excited for Katelyn & Drew’s classy, detail-oriented wedding at Howe Farms in Chattanooga, TN since they booked us in 2020!
Katelyn reminds me a lot of myself, and not just because we have the same name! she is so detail-oriented and prepared for everything!
Every corner of her wedding was thoughtfully laid out and perfected with exquisite details. From calligraphy on her invitations, butterflies on her bouquet and veil for her late grandmother, having her mom’s wedding dress redone for her rehearsal dinner (and last minute reception change) to pictures of their family members cutting their wedding cake surrounding their own cake table, everything had a purpose.
I could pick a million tiny moments to write about from this wedding. The first look with Katelyn’s bridesmaids, dad, and brother were so heartfelt and full of love.
Their social hour made me want to be a guest! Everyone had so much fun with mocktails, cotton candy, charcuterie, lounge setups, and corn hole!
All of the wax seals could have melted my stationery-loving heart… not the mention the stunning florals and all white chapel!
But I think my favorite part of their day was not a moment, but how much they honored the sacrament of marriage throughout their day.
If you know Katelyn & Dres, it’s no secret they are Christians. And their hearts and love for the Lord were so evident throughout the day.
During their first touch, Drew & Katelyn read private vows that spoke of how their love to each other is the closest relationship they’ll have to that of their relationship with Jesus while on Earth. And the ceremony, performed by their former youth leader, was along the same lines.
Even during Katelyn’s dad’s toast, he spoke of how Katelyn’s pure love of humanity brings tears to her eyes when she sees homeless people or people in need.
Even though Devon and I have only had the pleasure of knowing this sweet couple a little while, it’s so clear that they love people, and I know their guests felt that love with all the thought that went into the planning of their day and every moment that took place.
To the couple who desires nothing more than to bring the love of Jesus to the corners of the world, you were completely surrounded by it on your special day!
Devon and I Love you both and are so honored to be a part of your day and lives! We wish nothing but the best for you both as you start the next chapter of your lives together!
