Celebrating graduation is a monumental achievement, and there’s no better way to commemorate this special time than with a senior session at Radford University. This spring, I had the honor of photographing my sister, Lauren, as she celebrated her graduation from grad school at Radford University, where she earned her degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

The campus provided the perfect backdrop, and we made sure to stop at some of her favorite spots, including Waldron Hall, where she spent countless hours throughout her academic journey. Though the golden hour light was soft and even due to the cloud cover, the session still exuded warmth and elegance, perfectly capturing the essence of this significant milestone.

Personal Touches and Meaningful Locations

For Lauren’s session, she chose a white, flouncy romper with a bow in the back—an outfit that was both playful and sophisticated. Of course, we also incorporated her cap and gown for classic graduation shots that highlight her accomplishments.

We visited several locations on the Radford University campus that were meaningful to her during her time at the university. The session truly reflected her journey—there was something extra special about photographing her in front of Waldron Hall, a place that symbolized much of her grad school experience.

As the session came to a close, we were joined by some of Lauren’s grad school friends for a few group shots, celebrating not only her achievement but also the bonds they formed along the way.
