The Bristol Train Station served as the perfect backdrop for Will and Madison’s elegant summer wedding. Nestled in the heart of Bristol, VA, this historic venue not only provided timeless charm but also held personal significance for the couple. Will has always had an appreciation for trains, making the station’s rich history even more meaningful. With a floral-forward design, intentional details, and a vibrant summer palette, their wedding day felt like a true reflection of their love story.
A Love Story That Started in Medical School
Will and Madison met while attending medical school at Campbell University in North Carolina. Though they initially started school dating other people, fate had different plans. Over time, their friendship grew, and as they navigated their studies and shared experiences, their bond deepened into something more. Now, both are pursuing their medical residencies in Kentucky, embarking on a new chapter together as husband and wife.
Bristol Train Station: A Historic and Meaningful Venue
For their wedding day, Will and Madison knew the Bristol Train Station was the perfect venue. More than just a beautiful setting, the station is a landmark in their beloved town, sitting beside the famous Bristol sign—a unique and nostalgic touch that Madison thoughtfully incorporated into their wedding stationery. The station’s museum-like feel, with its stunning architecture and deep history, set the tone for an unforgettable celebration.
Sentimental Wedding Details
Personalized Wedding Stationery
One of Madison’s favorite details from their wedding was their stationery. A dear friend, Hannah Barton, hand-drew the Bristol Train Station for their save-the-dates, bringing their vision to life. Madison then worked with a Lexington, KY stationery company to craft an invitation suite that incorporated the Bristol sign into their details card—a personal touch she had never seen before on wedding invitations.
A Colorful and Floral-Inspired Vision
Embracing the richness of late summer, Madison curated a palette of blue, peach, and pink hues to reflect the warmth and joy of the season. Blues, peaches, and pinks came together beautifully through their floral design. Bud vases and candlelit tablescapes created an elegant, intimate ambiance, bringing Madison’s floral dreams to life. She still daydreams about their stunning arrangements!
Personal Touches and Heirloom Pieces
Their wedding day was filled with meaningful heirloom details, including Will’s mother’s handkerchief, which was lovingly wrapped around Madison’s bouquet. Even their cocktail napkins featured a sketch of their beloved dog, a playful and personal detail that guests adored.

Getting Ready in the Heart of Bristol
Madison spent the morning getting ready at an Airbnb on State Street, while Will prepared for the day at The Bristol Hotel. Excitement filled the air as they both anticipated the moment they would finally see each other.
A Bristol Hotel Rooftop First Look and Private Vows
One of the most emotional moments of the day was Will and Madison’s first look on The Bristol Hotel’s rooftop bar. Against the sweeping views of the city, they shared private vows—something they highly recommend to other couples. It gave them a quiet, intimate moment together before the whirlwind of the ceremony and celebration began.
A Bristol Train Station Ceremony Transformed with Elegant Drapery
Bristol Train Station’s ceremony space became a breathtaking scene with flowing drapery, adding an elevated and romantic touch. This design choice took a blank slate and transformed it into something truly special, proving that drapery is a trend worth embracing in 2025!
A High-Energy Reception with Nostalgic Music
Their reception was a beautiful blend of black-tie elegance and pure fun. Guests danced the night away to early 2000s throwbacks, creating a lively, unforgettable atmosphere. Every moment was filled with joy, laughter, and the unmistakable feeling that Will and Madison were surrounded by their closest friends and family.
A Classic Getaway with a Vintage Touch
One of the most memorable elements of their wedding day was their vintage getaway car. Not only did it serve as the perfect backdrop for stunning couple portraits, but it also made for an iconic exit to end the night on a high note.
